JEREMY CHU
Co-Founder, Business Development
Jeremy Chu is the co-founder as well as head of Business Development for HedgeLend, bringing experience spanning from emerging media to the hospitality sector.
Prior to HedgeLend, Mr. Chu was an associate at Broadsmoore Financial Group, a merchant bank based in New York focusing on financial advisory and investment businesses. While at Broadsmoore, Mr. Chu focused on investment opportunities in technology as well as in the healthcare sector.
Mr. Chu was the operations manager for Talos Partners, a merchant bank that focused on structured lending. While at Talos, Mr. Chu’s responsibilities encompassed research and analytics and the technology infrastructure.
Prior to joining Talos, Mr. Chu was an investment banking analyst for First Wall Street Capital, a boutique investment bank with a focus on real estate. Prior to First Wall Street, Mr. Chu served as a consultant for JWT, the largest advertising agency in the United States by revenue, where he advised on strategy and performing financial analysis for an in-house investment vehicle focusing on emerging media.
Mr. Chu has also been retained by JPMorgan Chase as well as by some of the leading emerging media companies (online social networking, online marketing, digital telephone platforms, in-home advertising, sports-oriented online gaming), primarily for corporate valuations and strategic planning. He was also an analyst for Nolita Capital, an investment firm focused on the hospitality sector.
Mr. Chu has attended New York University and holds a bachelor of arts from Rutgers University.
JESSE COHEN
Co-Founder, Client Relations
Jesse Cohen is the co-founder as well as head of Client Relations for HedgeLend.
Prior to Hedgelend, Mr. Cohen was a senior invesment analyst for Aveda Capital, a $2BN AUM hedge fund based in New York, manging a focused fundamental strategy of long/short US equity and equity derivative technology investments across all market caps.
Prior to Aveda, Mr. Cohen was an investment banking analyst for Lehman Brothers, where he was involved with the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions, debt financings and equity offerings across various industries.
Mr. Cohen has attended Hong Kong University and holds a bachelor of arts from Columbia College.
